Dr David Mullen
MB, BAO, BCh, FRACGP, MICGP, DRCOG, AFRACMA
Dr Mullen is a vocationally trained General Practitioner. He hails from Galway on the west coast of Ireland. Dr Mullen completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training in Dublin. His areas of interest are Minor Injuries, Acute Medicine, Chronic Disease Management and Dermatology.

Dr Denise Ruth
MBBS FRACGP MPH FAFPHM
Denise has lived in Apollo Bay for over 15 years and has worked here as a GP from 2001 to 2008, returning to the Medical Centre in January 2018 after a period working away in Geelong and Melbourne. Denise brings over 35 years of experience as a GP, medical educator, researcher, and public and community health physician. She provides general practice care including preventive, pregnancy, aged and palliative care.

Dr Josh Bye
Dr Josh Bye graduated from Monash University in 2003 and is also trained as a GP Anaesthetist. He spent his early years working in Melbourne and London. He now spends his time between Apollo Bay and his Residential and Aged Care medical practice in and around Geelong. He remains involved with registrar and medical student training. His interests in addition to general practice are emergency, preventative medicine and aged care. He is experienced in point of care x-ray and bedside ultrasound.

Dr Mary Barson

Mary is a Bellbrae local with a long standing commitment to this area. She loves working and living in this beautiful and dynamic community. With additional training in Palliative Medicine, Mental Health, Hypnotherapy, Acupuncture and Paediatrics, Mary has a broad range of medical interests. She enjoys the variety and challenge of General Practice. Dr Peter Atkinson
MB.BS, FRACGP
Peter Atkinson is an experienced vocationally registered GP who after graduating from Melbourne University worked at RMH, RCH, RWH, Fairfield Hospital and Royal Park, before becoming a partner in a group practice in North Balwyn for 40 years. He has always holidayed in Lorne from childhood, and had a holiday house in Lorne since 1970. Peter is now semi retired and living in Lorne. His interests encompass the entire “cradle to grave” span of family medical practice. He is an honorary life associate member of Lorne SLSC, and is also a member of the Lorne Football/Netball Club and the Lorne Mens Shed.

Dr Justin Evans

Dr Evans grew up in on the Bellarine Peninsular and has always had a passion for health and wellbeing. He worked extensively within the fitness industry for 9 years whilst undertaking both undergraduate studies in biomedical science and further postgraduate study in medicine at the University of Melbourne. With additional training and qualifications in Emergency Medicine, he also has special interests in sports medicine working with local footballs teams including the Geelong Falcons over the past 2 years and rural medicine.

Dr Libby Buchholz
MBBS (Hons) DRANZCOG
Libby grew up on a farm in the Western Districts and has always had an interest in rural and remote health. She studied Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, Mildura, Maryborough and Bendigo, and has worked as a doctor in city and country alike. Libby has taken time to travel the world and go diving, but has now happily settled on the Surf Coast. She has a postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has special interests in all aspects of Womens’ Health.

Dr Genevieve Mount
BSC (Hons)MD, MBBS
Dr Genevieve has worked in emergency medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology in a number of regional and rural hospitals. Her interests include all areas of family medicine, with particular interest to women’s health.
